It’s an invitation to finally exhale and feel supported in a way your whole body can recognize.
Reiki Energy Work in the Hands of a Nurse, Psychotherapist
Reiki therapy at Healing With Love is designed for adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or energetically depleted caregivers, healthcare professionals, parents and anyone longing for deep rest and emotional clarity. Whether you’re seeking Reiki session near me in Stoney Creek, Burlington, or Hamilton or prefer distance Reiki from home across Ontario, each Reiki session is tailored to your comfort and needs.
How Reiki Helps You Release, Restore & Reconnect
Reiki is a century old healing modality and a safe, complementary form of care. The word “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words Rei (universal life force) and Ki (energy). Together, they describe the subtle, life force energy that flows through all living things an energy you may not see, but often feel.
During Reiki treatment, this universal energy is gently directed to support balance in your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual systems. Reiki does not replace medical or psychological care; instead, it works alongside them, helping your body and nervous system access deeper states of rest and repair.
Reiki healing can gently support your whole system. As an integral part of care in many hospices and wellness settings around the world, it’s observed to improve comfort, relaxation and emotional ease.

Inside a Reiki session at Healing With Love in Hamilton
A Reiki session at Healing With Love is designed to be gentle, respectful and deeply calming.
For an in-person Reiki session, you'll arrive at the Stoney Creek studio and be welcomed into a soothing space with soft lighting, calming music and a comfortable treatment table. Every session is 60 minutes and $122, with no tax, whether it's your first visit or a follow-up.
Your first session includes a full nursing intake, where I ask holistic health questions to understand you before we begin; follow-up sessions move straight into a brief check-in, your Reiki session, and a debrief. You remain fully clothed throughout, and you'll be invited to settle in, guided through a brief mindfulness or relaxation practice, and supported to set an intention, if that feels right for you.
From there, Reiki is offered using light, non-invasive hand placements on or just above the body.
What you feel during a Reiki session can vary but may include:
Tingling or gentle warmth in certain areas
Coolness or subtle shifts in sensation
Waves of calm, heaviness, or lightness
Emotional release: tears, relief or a sense of unclenching
Sometimes, nothing specific at all

Reiki isn’t a one-time fix, just like you don’t get toned from one exercise class. Many people find it helpful to begin with a series of sessions for example, a few sessions over a couple of months so their nervous system has time to respond and integrate. Each person is different. We’ll discuss your goals together to create an individualized, sustainable plan.

No. You don’t need to fully understand or “believe in” Reiki energy to benefit from Reiki therapy. Many clients simply experience Reiki as deep calm, a sense of lightness, or an easier time relaxing and sleeping. You’re invited to be curious and notice how you feel no pressure, no expectations.
-
Reiki is a complementary therapy, not a replacement for medical or mental health care. It can sit alongside your existing supports such as psychotherapy, medication, or other healthcare by helping your body access deeper rest and regulation. If you have health concerns, always follow the guidance of your medical and mental health providers.

Yes. Reiki is gentle and non-invasive, which makes it a supportive option during pregnancy and postpartum.
As a Registered Nurse with extensive experience on a postpartum floor, in the NICU, and in community work with prenatal and postpartum mothers, I bring that background into every session to keep the process safe and attuned to what your body is going through at this stage.
As always, Reiki is complementary, it works alongside, not in place of, your medical care, so please check with your care provider if you have any pregnancy-specific concerns.
